I think while we have necessarily been focused on our own team's moves, the BJs, Hawks, and Blues have seriously improved their teams.
Got to watch one period of the Chicago at St. Louis game last night-- boy do the Hawks have a youth movement of talent, they looked impressive and spunky. St Louis played with more fire than they finished last year with, and they were pretty hot at the end with Andy Murray as coach.
Nashville on paper lost some key players and will be more of a lunch-bucket team this year. Detroit always play their system well and it wins them games. I think the Central could potentially be more like the Northwest has been recently, a dogfight for points to the end. Anybody else see it that way??

We will, either win the Stanley Cup or finish dead last in the league only to watch some other team get the 1st overall pick with that fixed lottey we never win. Who cares about the other teams in the Central, I hope they all go 12-70 (only because they have to beat each other) screw em
Never realized that Centrals record was so good against those divisions.
As a whole, the record is strong, how much of that was due to Detroit and Nashville?
Preds lost some firepower and that leaves Detroit (at least on paper) as the one and only sure thing in this division.

Actually, the other three teams played quite well against other divisions last year.....The past few years, this division has played very well outside the division....
I didn't realize Paul Kariya's younger brother Martin was in the St. Louis organization. Anyways he was reassigned to the AHL today. Maybe in 8-10 years we'll see 3 or 4 Stall brothers playing together.
