how does one ever convert to support a different team? i never understood that. maybe if you relocate...but to me it just meant that person was never really a true fan in the first place.

I find this interesting. A diehard hockey fan switching allegiances from the largest hockey market in Canada to the largest hockey market in the United States. But hey, if you're serious about it, welcome to Rangers country.

Oh man, I hope we don't turn into the Buffalo Sabres of last year...

Oh wait, everyone hates us already anyway.

he is probably one of these jump on the band wagon people, who go with what ever team looks to be on of the best.

Let him enjoy his time as a NYR fan, cause Im sure next year or even sooner, youll see him on another teams board saying the same thing.

I'm pretty sure he's being facetious. Sounds like he's mocking us.

Because the team you liked has turned into an abominaton. I was a Panther's fan for God damn ever, but after like, eight years with no success at all, anywhere, I gave up on them. Then they made the worst trade in modern NHL history, so that kinda sealed it. Ranger's had Kasparaitis, Hollweg, and a lot of personality, so I came here.

It's like being in a bad relationship. You can only take being **** on and **** and **** on for so long before you need to get outta there.

I think a lot of us who have been long time Rangers fans can relate though. This team also went nearly a decade without sniffing the post season, and had no prospects in the cupboard to look forward to. Things were quite bleak here just 4 or 5 years ago, yet most of us didn't jump ship, despite being the laughingstock of the league. So while I can sympathize with you in your suffering, I still don't know that I could ever root for any anyone else.

Don't worry, judging by your posts on our board you were never one of us anyways.

Have fun.

I have to say, you said it best!

But yes, I will admit, I will still watch the Leaf games...but I do hate their management. The Rangers I guess you can say, even though they spent a lot of money, they did make smart moves, and did everything I wanted the Leafs to do.

1. Didn't sign a star player (Rangers signed 2 in Gomez and Drury)
2. Didn't draft the Russian star (even though we got Toskala, but we could've traded someone for a first round pick, lots of players they don't need)
3. We still have Raycroft

Oh yeah, lol I would have became a Predators fan if they came to Hamilton, Ontario...but they didn't come, and traded half the players away...and then I didn't like them anymore.

But look, I will sign a one year contract to support the New York Rangers lol...its a step to becoming a long term fan, right?

Wow man, so you're just a fair weather fan? I'm betting you're a Yankees, Patriots and Spurs fan as well.

Haha, gotcha. Well, I'm glad you get enjoyment out of your teams. As a Mets, Jets and Rangers fan, I've had little to root for recently. I also forget that I'm a Knicks fan...

****ing Mets... I'm glad they lost, they're heartless cowards and I'm relieved that I don't have to suffer through their ******** any longer.
