Did you hear the guy that won the 92 Citi fm trip, he chose the Flyers and hardly was excited. I entered like 25 times

I never listen to that station anymore. What did he win? Tickets and a round trip out there?

Welcome, and I hope you have a great time. However, I hate to burst your bubble, but this is a PPV game, no HNIC.

Really, according to my dish guide it is on CBC, I don't care though.
Can't wait though, just wish I could go to Calgary Thursday night also

I think so, but the game starts at 6 PM local time. HNIC games start at 8 PM.

Kinda ironic as Edmonton's last pro team was the Edmonton Flyers named by Poiles dad who was the coach there.

I'm an Edmonton Oiler fan that will be at the game on Saturday. I couldn't miss the return of one of my favorite players in the entire league, Jason Smith. I didn't like Lupul's play as an Oiler but he also seemed like a good kid in interviews. No confidence while he was here. Hopefully the fresh start will be good for him.

Also, I'm not sure if you guys know this but you kind of have a good team. I might be a little star struck on Saturday. The Flyers are my favorite team in the East and hopefully the Oilers can pull off another miracle and face you guys in the Final this season ...with the same result as 1987 Just some healthy trash talk before Saturday....and the final.

uhhh 1987 what a heartbreaker. Although I was only 1 year old. But....you shmo's got lucky! It didn't help the Flyers that you had, arguably the best team ever assembled.

What a homer response! We only had Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson, Lowe, Coffey, Fuhr, Tikkanen and Moog.

best sporting event I have ever witnessed live: game 6 SCF 1987 14th row center ice. The Spectrum was LOUD.

There was an Oilers documentary made in the 80s called Boys On The Bus. It follows the team during the 1986 season and then after the picks up again in the 87 playoffs(they probably wanted to try and finish with a happy ending after the Steve Smith thing). Kevin Lowe is the narrator and he says in the video that the Flyers crowd was one of the most exciting yet intiminating crowds he'd ever played for.

Here's to Lupul getting a hat-trick against the Oilers and Pitkanen speeding through the zone only to circle around our net and fail.

If I didn't need a passport I would go to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver - instead I will travel to Miama and Tampa in 3 weeks
