He would have to Light camp and the Pre-season up next year because the Blues are very cautious with their Prospects for the most part?

The guy who may be my Pick to push for a job next year is Mike Glumac, he played very well in camp earned a AHL contract and is playing well down there last I read?

Well, we do not know for sure if ge is NHL ready unless he's given a chance... I would not mimd giving him than chance if he has a good training camp next september...
It seems to me that Shkotov is more NHL ready than Zac at the moment. But i think that they both should start next season the Worcester.

I agree that Shkotov is probably more skilled, but his size and strength will probably make the transition harder for him than Zakharov. I think Zakharov could do the same as he is doing now , at the next level. Im not sure that Shkotov could.

Zak is more NHL ready

Zak plays in a trapping system and still has a goal a game. Shkotov still hasnt figured out there are 2 goalies in Hockey.

If that's what the Blues are listing Shkotov as, they're lying worse than Bush and the "weapons of mass destruction" whopper...

If Shkotov is bigger than 5-09, 175 pounds, I'll eat my hat, your hat, and the Cat in the Hat...

Hmm... I thought I replied to this already but my post isn't here. ??

Oh well... 5-11, 180 is what the QMJHL lists him at... I figured they'd have the most recent measurements.

Beckford-Tseu didn't light up the OHL last year, either, from a statistical standpoint. But when he came to the Blues' camp, he was a pleasant surprise. He has good size, and from what I hear, has good mechanics and the right attitude.

Maybe not "goalie-of-the-future" material, but I'd like to see what he does on a team that plays a little better defense than Kingston.

Just because he's not tearing it up in major junior, don't write him off as a prospect. Roberto Luongo's regular-season stats in the "Q" weren't anything to write home about, but he got hot at the right time and was outstanding in two consecutive playoff years up there.

BT, actually looked horrible working with the goal coach in the blues camp. So "i "wouldnt say he has good mechanics. He really looked like he didnt belong. But in the games he did pretty good. So im not writing him off, but he has a long way to go. Longer than the other goalies who were in camp.

Actually the goalie witht the best mechanics\technique in camp was Johnson. So that goes to show how much that really means.

Luongo played on some god awful teams though.

Everyone knew from age 15 Luongo was sepcial. He was so good fundamentally.

Since we dont have much to talk about the blues lately in a positive light. I decided to update this thread.

OK, we are now up to date. While most have slipped slightly statistically. Bolduc, Belle, and MAieser have improved in almost every category. Zach Fitzgerald must be injured , because he hasnt played in quite a while. Beckford tsue has been flat out lit up lately.

P.S. i was drinking a little bit, when i decide to do this, so ther may be some errors.

Not a good night for Zak last night... 0 points and -4.

Shkotov had a goal and an assist. His goal was the game winning goal scored with only 15 seconds left in the 3rd period and was named the #1 star.

I know ive been slackin. We have all had a lot to think about with the slump and all. But here is some good news. Shkotov has been on a complete tear. His points per game average has gone up about 0.3. He is now averaging 1.6 points per game. . That puts him in 5th for points per game in the QMJHL. The only players with higher ratings are Crosby, Roussin, Daoust, and Talbot. Lets hope he can keep it up and get us some prospect recognition.

Edit: Oh, and its up to date now.

I do not like Chris Beckford-Tseu, I do not like him as a Blue. I would not like him in the goal, maybe in a toilet bowl . . .

Sorry, what was this thread about?
