Should be a pretty good game. The Jackets should have some extra effort knowing their GM and scouting staff will be watching their every play tonight. The Kings are due to break out of their slump and start their climb back up into the playoffs. A good subplot to watch is the ongoing Avery-Westcott feud. Duvie beat Avery up pretty good last year when Avery was still a Wing.

I won't venture on a prediction and I hope that no one on either team gets injured. Go Jackets!

Today is the 42nd game of the year for the Kings... so it is the 2nd half of the season now. It would be nice to start it off with a win.

I just want to see all out effort out there... nobody feeling sorry for themselves because Ziggy is no longer there. Hopefully Andy Murray will have them charged up for the game.

GO KINGS!

Ya, Kings win I agree, they have to right? I mean this can't go on forever.
As far as beers go, I'm partial tonight for a few Belgians like Chimay or even Leffe, nothing wrong with 4 or five at 7%, plus it reminds me of a time....oh never mind

I'd like to see the Kings play more trap... I know it's boring, and I don't love it either, but who cares. it just might be the only way this team will survive.

I agree fw, if anything is going to have us win and play well with our current staff it is going to be an all out hard core following of the trap system. Taking away the nuetral zone takes away our opponents skill players speed and clogging the passing lanes in our own end makes it more difficult for them to get quality scoring chances.

With a healthy roster I might see it differently but as it is, the trap could really make us stay competitive.

Our better than average assets are,

Frolov, Straka, Luc, Klatt, Matty and Lubo. Our slightly better than average at the moment ones are Ebell, Army, Stumpel, Avery, Camms, Lappy, Modry and our average but able staff fill the rest of the roster. With that lot we should be able to compete and win as long as we follow religiously the trap game. I would have us watch the Wild during last years playoffs. When we play our best, that is what our system looks like. (without the checking but one thing at a time) We have more over all talent then they did at the time and if we stuck to that game plan then I feel we can be better than allot of teams and beat any team that doesn't play us with discipline and patients.

Of course, I am getting bloody well bled out for my points of view (sad that nobody were willing to actually pm me and ask my take) but as a man its beans and sauce to me mates. In the end, I see myself and the rest of us here as Kings fans and at the end of the day, I will take hanging out chatting with a Kings fan who don't like me over having a chat with most anyone else.

WIN KINGS!

Last season, the Blue Jackets became just the third team since 1982 to sweep four games from L.A. The Kings managed only five goals in the series.

And the Kings haven't had a 11 game winless streak since, you guessed it, 81-82.

I sure hope that the Kings play an inspired game tonight. Could be a 2-1 or 1-0 type of game.

1-0 Jackets on the PP (4 seconds into the penalty by Tripp)

Jackets are halfway to their 2 goal average and it is only 3 minutes into the game.

Klatt on the PP

Almost gets killed by an Armstrong shot and then puts it in the top corner.

1-1 at the end of one.

Frolov no PP time yet. Thought I would get it out of the way oh and he is playing with Lappy on our "energy line". Great place for a sniper scoring threat to earn his points. Spreading the talent is one thing but you would think with Ziggy/Allison/Deader/Brown out and Camms on the farm (unless he came up today) that Frolov MIGHT get a bloody sniff on a talented line and a moment or two on the bleeding PP. He is our third leading scorer.

Unfortunately, the Kings will win too many games to get a top-5 pick but not enough to make the playoffs.

If I were say,umm Sim, I would start swinging for the fences at Matty, Luc, Frolov Lubo, Klatt and for the fun of it at Corvo (just so he can see what its like) and give us AT LEAST ONE BLOODY RECORD IN THE RIGHT FASHION! LET US WIN ONE DAMN THING RIGHT! If he were to do that then we could be sure to win the most man hours lost to our top players and END the DREAD we will all have the rest of the season each game wondering if THIS is the game that ANOTHER one of our top lads goes down.

Get it over with now and avoid the suffering of waiting to see when it will happen because it WILL happen, it is just a matter of time before all of our players are out. Why bother waiting? Just book a charter between Manchester and LA right now and get it done with.

Unbloody believable.

Ask Him About Straka For Piss Sake!

ANdy will make a defencive forward out of Frolov yet. Sure he is shown to be one of the top young scoring forwards in the game but why let that bother you, make him strictly a defencive specialist and punish him for his hard work. Thats the deal mate.

I know. All these ties are going to add up and give us the 10th overall pick instead of top-3 pick.
