Yeah, looks like we signed him and have even assigned a number to him. It's certainly weird that there has been no announcement, but even more weird that he was already assigned a number (#15).

I actually like the signing. I was scanning through the remaining free agents the other day and really thought that Langfeld was one of a few AHL veteran types that I would want on the Predators. He is a smart player with a big body and he knows how to use his size. Skating will hold him back from ever truly stepping into the top three lines on a consistent basis, but the guy will definitely bring it every night he suits up.

Eleven more days till training camp starts...DROP THE PUCK ALREADY!!!

I was just wondering yesterday where Langfeld ended up. He was decent in his short time for the Wings last year.

TSN is finally reporting it.

I think I would rather have had Roenick, along with his 5 goal countdown to a milestone and publicity. The contracts are about the same except for Langfeld's is 2-way.

I have to believe that Langfeld was signed primarily for your AHL affiliate, and as a depth / call-up player for the Predators. I know you guys have had more than your fair share of turnover, but if Langfeld is a regular... well, let's just say that's not a good sign.

yeah, its hard to get excited about this one, we already have a couple of Langfelds. Here's to hoping he nets some for the Admirals.

I watched Josh play junior hockey with the Lincoln Stars (USHL). He went on to play every well for the University of Michigan.

Power forward type body. Heavy shot, quick release. Isn't afraid to muck it up in the corners. Not too quick on his skates, however. Very slow.

Langfeld was in the Sens' system for a good while.

He's an arrogant SOB who had power forward potential. His skating is not even close to NHL level, and he'll be an AHL-guy for the rest of his career.

I would have preferred that we resign Pat Leahy over Langfeld. I think Leahy skates quite a bit better and he looked good at the end of the year for the Ad's and was up for the playoffs at one point....

This is a signing made for Milwaukee. If Langfeld is ever on the Predators roster, we're screwed anyway.
