Tough choice: NHL 08 or NHL 2K8?

Im deciding whether to pick up one of these games this afternoon.. I figure I play for a little go out and watch the game.

When it comes to details im nuts.. I saw in videos and pictures in 2k8 the Rangers away jerseys.. are very off.. esp the top shoulders where the blue is. But the ice and everything looks awesome. I think ill stick ewith EA on this game. Any one have either of thew two? Review would help and your choice on what I should buy. Thanx.

i think NHL08 is the one to get this year. Last year it was 2k7, now its 08. I played the deo of nhl08 and it was sick.

I just got 08 yesterday and its a great game. The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that they have Lundqvist wearing TPS Summits and not the TPS Response 8s. I know its a little detail but, being a goalie myself, it ticks me off.

He just doesn't look right without the Response 8 pads on.

They only get the rights to use very little equipment, so they're kinda limited and have to make the closest choice possible.

NHL 08 by the widest margin in sports gaming.

There's a thread devoted to these games: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=409637

I'd lean towards 2k8 if realistic gameplay is your thing.

It's not a tough choice. NHL 08 all the way.

NHL 2008 is much more realistic than 2k8 is, IMO. I've played both and I bought 2008. There isn't a thing that 2k8 does better.

I think he had to of meant NHL 2008...
2k8 is retarded... 2k7 was insanely retarded... they just are going downhill while NHL 08 brought their game to a whole new level.

This is hands down the most ridiculous post I have ever seen. I mean, if he was wearing Heatons or something I could sympathize, but the wrong model of TPS? Cut the boys over at EA some slack!
