Game 1 Pack Lost to Bridgeport

I think we should have a sticky for the Wolfpack games as well, it affects the Rangers and most of our prospects are playing in the AHL.

Spiller vs Byers
This one happens during the play in front of the Bridgeport bench. Byers has his back to Spiller who comes in and gets Byers from behind/off his shoulder. Not really a hard hit but Byers turns around and the gloves are off. They lock up and hug almost immidately Spiller fires and misses with two, as does Byers. Byers may have landed 1 if that. Byers lands on top. Crap fight.

Fritz vs Brennan
They didn't match up much during the 1st period. Maybe 2 shifts total together on the ice at the same time. 2nd period rolls around they both hit the ice together for a faceoff in the far end. They're chatting as the puck drops, they head into the corner. Fritz goes to dig it out, Brennan checks him in the back a couple times, Fritz turns around shoves Brennan in the chest, gloves go flying. Brennan gets in close early nutralizing Fritz's 9 foot wingspan. He grabs hold and starts throwing rights. 3 out of 4 don't even connect. Fritz has a good grip on the back of Brennan's shirt and unloads 7 or 8 in a row that all land square on the side of Brennan's helmet. (neither of them shed their buckets initially) Brennan comes back with 1 really good right that knocks Fritz's helmet off. By this time the zebras are skating in and that was that. A pretty even bout. No squareoff at all. Neither one seemed gased or showing any visable damage really. I'd call it a "W" for Fritz based on more punches landing. Brennan's also sporting a mohawk that's somewhat growing in.

Thanks for the fight reviews. Need some vids to go along with them

by all account Hugh played well too. Good start but he needs to do that all season to get a chance of a new contract. Apparently he looks really fit and motivated too.
