Majors Game

Looking at the OHL Summary Sheet, the attendance at the Majors game is "sketchy" at best.

1241...

I've heard a ton of season ticket holders were pissed when they sent the Dogs down the QEW to possibly win the whole thing this year.

Personally I would not have bought tickets this year also and spent my time making the drive to follow the team I watched grow to where they are this year.

Looks good on them IMO for taking their fans for granted.

Can someone please explain why it had to play out this way?

Eugene Melnyk is a huge *********, that about sums it up. Mind you, I go to school at Brock in St. Catharines so at this point I'm not complaining!

Well the screen shot was most likely taken at the start of the third period (based on the score and the center ice face-off) at which point a lot of people are still out at the concession stands or washrooms, plus it's showing less than half the arena. I was at the game and the figure of 1,241 is accurate. As for fan support, the team has sold about 120 more season tickets than last year (although they of course still lag well behind the league average). It will take a few years for them to build a fan base there, but unlike with the previous owners, there is stability now. They'll be putting in further upgrades to the arena to increase the fan experience, and the team is really starting to gel now that most of their injured and or suspended players are back.

Come on now tell the truth......

How many season ticket holders are there?

I am sorry to say that Mississauga is not a hockey town so this will probably be the reason the Majors do not stick around long.

Simple...he liked their building. He purchased the team to move the IceDogs out.
