Maybe...I think it depends if he stays with spezza and heatley the whole season. I thought Paddock wanted to break the big line up though. Even if the line does stay together, I say he gets 45ish.
Correction my friend. Naslund had 41 goals at the time he broke his leg..he was bound for 50 goals with only 10 games left in the season but broke his leg in Buffalo as I recall in the 2000-2001 season.
Next year he scored 40 goals..and in 2002-2003 he missed it by 2 goals. On the last day of the season they were shut out by the Los Angeles Kings...and to make it worse, he lost the scoring title to Forsberg and the Goal scoring title to Hejduk.
Heatley scores on that line. Alfredsson is the worker. He won't get 50.
That's what I was thinking. 2 50 goal scorers on the same line? Even harder with guy like Spezza on the line, who can steal some goals in his own right. I hope he does, but I just don't see it happening.

Alfredsson - Spezza - Heatley is probably the best line in the entire league, so if any line has a shot at having two 50 goal scorers, it's that one.
He'll likely be the first one to leave the top line in order to catalyze offence on another, so it's doubtful that he'll be able to maintain that kind of pace.

Two years ago Alfie had 43 and Heatley had 50. Its not that unlikely.
