Well the Islanders are 3-2 and the Rangers should be pretty good, but otherwise you're right.

EDIT: There's always those Knicks...

It's hard to be disappointed with the Giants at 3-2.

Well the Yankees were one of 8 teams to make the playoffs. Although they always want to be #1 let's not take for granted the year they had overcoming many injuries and a huge deficit to make the playoffs.

I actually thought the Giants were going to be alot better than people were making them out to be before the season began. Of course I regretted that for about the first 10 quarters of the season. It's all about if the team continues to stay healthy.

They had better be 6-2 at the half way point or it will be disappointing. Love the Big Blue

Yeah, they should be 6-2 at the half way point.

The disappointment may take place after that.

We'll see.

Some have, some haven't.

The Giants 3-2, Finally found defense and have won 3 in a row, So no. If they can go 6-2 again and STAY healthy and consistent then they will be a great team and dangerous playoff contender. Need New England to knock Dallas off this weekend. Lets go big Blue!

Islanders- 3-2-0 Good start to the year, Took a beating last night but still a good team.

Jets- 1-4, Nothing short of horrible and disssapointing.

Yankees- Had a great season turn around only to find another dissapointing first round exit

Mets- Blew it.

Rangers- Ah, now the team of this board. Bad start but still a great team with great talent. They just have gone off to a slow start. I think they will get it together after a few games once they form some chemistry, If so that'll make me a little nervous. xD

DUDE, the rangers are three freaking games into it, they'll be fine, the isles don't look horrible, the knicks haven't even started yet, the yanks made the playoffs, quit complaining you freakin yankees fans, some teams haven't made it in 15+ yrs., the mets were good but died. It's pretty typical to me. jets stink, I don't buy the giants at all. Very usual.

Yankees fans expect to win the World Series every year...There is nothing wrong with that....Does that mean this season was a total waste? no....considering we all got a glimpse of the future with Hughes, Joba, and Kennedy...

you continue to bash Yankees fans for nothing....

Btw the fact that this board has a thread like this 3 games into the Rangers season is a sad....

If this board was around during the 94 season it would've crashed in October...Fire Keenen...Trade Messier....Healy should start.....Leetch is never going to be the same....Why is Peter Anderson sitting?......Mike Hartman adds more then Mike Hudson....Gartner looks old......etc....

seriously 3 games in the season and this is the mindset of Rangers fans...

I agree about the ranger stuff, but the yankees made the PO's, they were good. some teams never make it, never. I just can't see how people can say that new york baseball sucked. You can't win the WS every year, frankly yankee fans better savor this past season cause I don't think they're seening the post season in a while. ps, go sox!

Nothing wrong at all, except that the Yankee fan's sense of entitlement is pretty ****ing obnoxious.

Ah, how I yearn for the days of Horace Clarke when you guys had some humility.

Do you guys think its good for the Rangers that the other teams are having bad years?

In other words, does it means that NYR potentially could get more coverege if they do well?

If the other NY sports teams tank (ie don't live up to NY'rs expectations); the Rangers get their chemistry down and the Islanders look respectable, hockey might get some limelight, it needs it.

ummmm overall yes, they have all crashed & burned, I offically declared the Jets done last week, I have no real faith in the Giants, no one outside of NYC & LI really expected the Islanders to do anything.
all of the NY sports pressure rest's on the Rangers shoulders.

It's really hard to take the Red Bulls seriously with such a stupid name. And I love football, but first the Metro Stars, now the Red Bulls? Just pay that guy whatever he wants and bring the Cosmos back.

I don't agree with that. The Yankees will be better next year with a younger, more experienced starting rotation. They have some great players coming up from the minors soon. The age and health of the roatation was a huge reason the Yankees dug such a huge hole and killed themselves to get out of.

Add to that lots of cash for free agents this winter, I believe Pavano is off the payroll, so will Clemens. We could use that for a middle of the order bat. Rivera and Posada WILL be back.

The hockey season is 3 games in.

The Giants are 3-2.

The Yankees made the playoffs, the Mets just missed.

Any city would love to have that kind of action.

And New Yorkers are still wondering why the rest of the world doesn't "get them."
