If I remember correctly wasn't there a rumor in AO's draft year of the Rangers trading Prucha and a first that year for the first overall draft pick? Didn't George McPhee really like Prucha before he came to the NHL? That is what I remember but I could be wrong thinking of something else.

Prucha+Montoya for Ovechkin, I'd do it.

I'd rather throw an offer sheet at Malkin if the timing is appropriate.

I love the fact that he reacts to every goal he scores as if he just netted one in game 7 on the finals.... its refreshing to see someone get pumped up and excited about the game.

I would love to see him in blue... the pens can keep crosby, i dont want em here

He'd look ugly in a Devil, Islander, Flyer or Penguin uniform.

I think that AO is a perfect fit on a team like Capitals, atleast at this stage of his career.

Just like Bure where on Florida and some years in Vancouver.

I seriously don't think he would be as good fit on the better teams, don't get me wrong, he is a tremendous player. But, for Washington, he might be the 2nd best player in the game. I think only Crosby would be more valueble for them.

But, for the best teams, I think he is worth less.

Allot of his game is about jumping behind the D's with his speed. About creating allot out of nothing.

Lets say he played for Detroit instead. There would be much less room to jump behind the defense on the other team, since they so often already are pushed back. And with AO's style off shooting on everything that moves, he would actually cause a Detroit/Anaheim and the likes to loose some momentum. In order to substain pressure you need to value the situation, make the small plays ect ect.

So, I don't think AO would be one of the top 10 fits for us to play with Jagr.

I think AO's development in some aspects was hurt some playing on Washington for two season. He was forced to simplyfie his game allot, and didn't develop much hockey sense. Playing with the likes of Kozlov and Nyls for the next 3 years or something will develop his hockeysense allot.

Nah, I'm pretty sure if AO played on Detroit, he'd net about 65 goals.

Ao is my favorite non Ranger outside of the tie domi when he was with the leafs.

Wont ever happen though. If Cherepanov is half as good as AO, I would be mightily happy.

Is that why Crosby looks so busted?

Yeah, you and Sather. Realistic trade.

Prucha+Montoya+Cherepanov+Dubinsky+1st +2nd for Ovechkin.

If Ryan Smyth can freakin fetch three prospects and a hell uva lota picks. Then Im SURE AO can fetch at least that.

AO is one of my absolute favourite players. With that being said, I never think he'll end up here.

Absolutely.

Just look at Jagr. Could be the cover guy on GQ now.

Back then, he'd be lucky to get on the cover of "Coal Mining Weekly".

I don't think Crosby ever leaving pitts
AO might leave washington but only as a FA, if they trade him, it'll probably be to the west.
