He said that Backstrom would have a better save % than Brodeur because he has a better D in front of him than Brodeur, not because he is more talented than Brodeur. I thought it was pretty clear.
Well from my stand point it looked like the poster was saying that the only reason why Backstrom would finish ahead of Brodeur is only because of the Defense in front of him. Which imo has not been the case so far because the Wild's D has been anything but stellar as of yet.
Now my personal opinion is that Brodeur will finish with better numbers than Backstrom, but not by much.
