Wow sounds like Parros won? Didn't see it, but Parros landed more punches?

It was pretty close. Not a lot of really solid hits from either side, but I'd give the edge to Parros, yeah. Good showing by Parros.

Burke clearly needs to find this team another top 6 forward...

i don't think the wild goalie has had to move laterally once to make a save in this game. passes are being made laterally at the blue line, and the ducks just wristing in on net. nothing has looked dangerous.

yes we miss selanne on this PP, but there is only 1 selanne, and there are lots of teams in the NHL that have good powerplays... and we have enough talented guys that should be more creative/productive.

A good part of that is the Wild's doing. They aren't giving Anaheim much room in the defensive zone. Our transition is a bit slow tonight, and it's giving them time to recover.

If Bertuzzi is that hurt maybe Burke will finally get serious about dealing for some offense

We have a transition game? It went away when Teemu went away.

Makes me wonder if it's his groin twinging. I still haven't seen the hit, so I can't even really guess.

I can recall only one hit an anaheim forward has laid on a wild defenseman.

I know they don't want to get caught behind the play, but especially after the boston game, i don't think anyone can argue that hitting and causing turnover and making defensemen make quick decisions is a huge key for us.

start hitting people
stop turning it over
and stop shooting it into the goalie's midsection.

wild goalie has been good with rebounds, but also, hasn't been too deep or too far out at all during the game. solid positioning, no need to make fancy saves with the wild D somehow shutting down the anaheim pointmen AND passes down low AND keeping duck players from putting up a screen all at the same time and all shorthanded.

I agree, we really need to up the hitting and pressure on Wild players.
(But I think I can count more then one hit lol) This was one of our keys to success, constant hitting. We need more of it.

It's called a lack of talent on the ice. With last year's squad, the defense had Scotty on the ice when Prongs wasn't on. That allowed forecheckers to forecheck and not worry about making mistakes. Oh yeah, there's no sniper like Teemu on the ice either that can shoot or make pin point passes for an easy score. Ohh.. and Big Bert's out to be screening the goalie. Just bleah. Ducks are missing a finesse line.

The Ducks are relying on two 21 year old kids to lead the team in scoring. That's the problem with this team right now.

Now that I have my wireless network set up ... I can sit in the family room to watch the game - where I see ... Rob Niedermayer likely earn a fine from the NHL for that genius elbow.

Yeah, this team needs another top six forward. The scoring just isn't there.

I would have to agree with the fans at the Honda Center. "boooooooooooooooooo!"

I feel bad for the paying customers for such a terrible game by the Ducks. No offense... terrible PP.
