Yea okay, I'm sure he will

Wow, the third period was horrible.
We need to change something, or this is going to be a long year.

And if the Ducks don't realize that, especially after the rain of boo's, then I don't know what to do.

Sorry for being a pain earlier.

Anyways, that was a pretty good game. Lots of fights, as expected. I can't wait for the other Ducks vs. Wild games!

What's wrong with our teams, guys?

We've simultaneously tripped at the starting line, it seems.

Fun with numbers. 7 games played, 2 times shut out.

On pace for 11-12 time shut out.
Last year we were shut out 6 times.

YAY!

When a team relies on 21 year olds to lead this team in offense, you start to notice the bad shape we are in. I miss last season.

Ducks don't have an offense, Kings don't have a defense. That way the LA area offers both ways to suck. Double your pleasure.

Me too.

I keep thinking of how this team broke an NHL record last year to start the season and how they were so much fun to watch from then on out right until they won the Cup. It was like a dream. I just wish we could re-live that over and over. We got so used to watching them be the best so it's even harder to see them struggling again.

Oh yeah, me too...dropping back-to-back games in SOs the first week, barely eeking past some of the worst teams in the league, and I can't wait to celebrate on November 15, 2007 - the one year anniversary of the Ducks best game of the year!!

**** happened last year too people.

I was there, it was a let down. We need schneider! I mean we REALLY need him. We have Huskins, DiPenta, and Hnidy all playing at the same time....I mean.....come on. Not only that, but our PP is tame. Schneider/Pronger on point would let us move Getzlaf up front which even though he is good on the point, we need finishers up front bad right now.

But more than anything.....we need to find a top 6 forward, and we need one soon. This should be Burke's top concern right now. We had Mowers on the first line today........ugh.

Yikes, good thing I missed the game tonight. Sounds like there was a lot of fighting (good) and a lot of crap hockey played by the Ducks (very bad).

And when will Drats get a chance to play? Can the Hnidy experiment end now? Please?

Err...well, I was talking about missing the best parts...I don't understand your post really. What happened on Nov. 15th, btw (was it the Flyers loss?)?

WEll, atleast Parros got the edge over Boogaard.

Like Lemaire said, it will take some time for Ducks to get their heads straight. Lemaire predicted that Ducks will finish 1st in the conference despite a slow start.

agree, we need schneider, we need a top 6 forward.

Andymac and Kunitz are out of sorts with whoever they play with.

Juggling the lines is interesting, but I would blame a lot of the awkward passes and plays on the fact that we constantly are changing the lines AND there is pressure on all the players to break out of the slump.

A win tomorrow would do wonders.

Maybe Ryan will come up and do some fun for us.

Just pointing out the flaws in your revisionist history. We had plenty of bad times to go with the good last year - for all we know we could be reliving last year.

Actually, you are the revisionist. Last season your team started like they were shot out of a gun. You got points in every game in the month of October if I'm not mistaken, even though some where SO losses as you noted. There were some rough spells I'm sure, but your team got off to a great start and never looked back, and never really struggled all season. It was game 17 before the Ducks first regulation loss, and they were never as low as 3rd place in the division.

So far, this season truly is a different story. Adversity can be a good thing though, and it's much better to be struggling in October rather than April. I think most everyone anticipated an adjustment period anyway since you guys had some pretty significant roster turnover. I wouldn't reach for the panic button.

Hehe, I did notice all the Pacific teams are struggling at the moment. Fortunately it's not near the end of the season, then I'd be really confused. I don't know who to blame, so I'll just say it's because of the new jerseys.

Here is my perspective of the Ducks from the point of view of a Wild fan (and I will try to do this without trolling):

Two years ago the Ducks were a very good team, when they added Pronger they became not only an elite team but one that was head and shoulders above everybody else. Two all star caliber defencemen is a rare luxury and one that changes the dynamics of the game. With Neidermeyer gone the Ducks have lost that luxury. Add to that the loss of Selanne and Penner and your team has gone from being elite back to good/very good. Bertuzzi is not the answer.

Jetlag may be a factor in the slow start.

Because the Ducks are Stanley Cup champions everybody wants to beat them so brings their A game. Because of the way they won the championship, playing "rough and tough" hockey, a lot of teams hold a special grudge and will really be bringing it.

Everything you say is true. Hopefully barring injury, and with some slight changes to our roster by the trade deadline we will be a cup contender again.
