Ducks looked a little better in the 2nd.

The shutdown line showed some offensive spark.

Andy needs a real playmate Burke - get it done!

Go Ducks!

I only caught the last minute of the 2nd period. Seems as though I didn't miss much and glad that I did miss it, except for the Perry goal. Bad winds messed up the trajectory of my satellite dish. It's still windy, but not gale force type and lucky enough to fix it.

I like the "Providing for a Safe Working Environment" tag for Parros. I think there needs to be a poster of that at the Pond...errrr Honda Center.

Wow... the Ducks just did a lot of puck watching/chasing instead of playing defense. This game reminds me of the Wild game so far.

I see they extended the name the rivalry competition. Maybe no one gave suggestions. They should name it the Lexus Gauntlet, since Lexus has bought the rights to at least 2 rivalries I know of, USC-UCLA and Cal-Stanford.

OMG!!!! Perry with an EMPTY NET!!!! Getz center, Koonie left and Perry on the right side. Getz pushes the puck to Koonie and Koonie slides the puck across the blue and Perry gets stuck with the puck between his legs and misses the empty net.

First game, first goal for Wirtanen. Off a feed off a rush by Parros? The heck?

That's 2 first game goals this year, the other being Ryan. Maybe we're good luck for rookies. Especially considering it was Wirtanen that got a goal. He of 0 goals in Portland this year.

Well, is it too late to jump on the Emo Jesus bandwagon? I also like how Parros has been working on his game over the summer, he seems to be doing much better this season.

JS gets lucky! Great netminding on the 2 on none, but that fat rebound... ::: shivers ::: Guess it's karma for Perry missing that empty net too.

Hardly a fat rebound. And can we not call him Koonie? That's just wrong.

Anyway. That shot by Wirtanen went squirtin' in. Hee hee.
