Thanks for posting these Mac. I would definitely recomend posting the lines in the gameday thread to whoever makes it. As long as the lines are posted some where in the thread I'm happy though.

Everyone seems to bash the play of this team through the first two period, but then everyone praises them during the last period. It makes me wonder if a move is really not needed. Everyone thought we needed a trade until the last period. That lineup looks horrible IMO. Especially the 2nd line... I guess it will look better when Bert gets back though...

Bertuzzi-Getzlaf-Perry
Kunitz-McDonald-Miller
Moen-Pahlsson-Niedermayer
May-Marchant-Wirtanen/Parros

I'm thinking Miller/Mac/Kunitz Tuzzi/Getz/Perry????

Which makes me think... did anyone else notice that Miller is listed at 165lbs? I that right? 6'2" 165? He would be a total rail... that's gotta b a typo, but it's listed multiple places.
He is rail thin. He's listed at 174 in yahoo, 170 in TSN and Portland. He was 165 in the draft. My guess is the 165 isn't updated. His brother's rail thin too, I bet his pad/body ratio is even worse than Giguere's.

I would keep the Kunitz-Getzlaf-Perry line together right now. They are creating plays left and right and seem to be chemistrifying well.

I would also keep Mac and Miller together after last night's performance at least until they prove otherwise. I put Bert on this line and replace Mowers although I think Mowers has played well enough to warrant a spot on the energy line.

I love that word. The young ones on the team come to save the day again. I think last night's line combos were working well too. Jiggy was himself again, didn't make any fantastic saves but was solid.

I know it's just a typo, but somehow it's funnier that way.

In sad news, the Ducks blog mentions that they've retired the T-shirt bazooka? I loved that thing. Apparently a couple fans were hurt last year in the mad scramble for a T-shirt. How's that any different than just throwing shirts out, or did they stop doing that too?

I actually know a friend that got hit on the eye by a shirt that was shot by the bazooka. This was a long time ago during a Vancouver Grizzlies basketball game.

My soon to be wife got a beer spilled on her by some ********* reaching for a t-shirt. I don't know which is worse though, the fact that our seats are in 201 so the power players were right in front of him or that he didnt even apologize.

Also, why do you guys call Wirtanen "emo"? Or were you referring to someone else?
His family problems. His twin sister died in a fire.

Yeah, just a terrible trade though. Worst in franchise history by far.
Frankly, we haven't had to endure many bad trades so the fact the Selanne one is the worst isn't saying that much IMO.

It was prompted entirely by budget constraints, Selanne was set to make 9.5 million in the next season and good ol' Kariya was already eating 10 million. A salary dump then wasn't much different than a salary dump now. You just don't get comparable talent in return.

They never fired the bazooka towards my section anyways. Though I'd rather they get rid of that stupid blimp instead of the bazoooooooooooooooka blast.

I guess I should thank you for the info, but I'm not sure that's something I should say after hearing something like that...

When was this? Recently, before the draft or way back when?

I guess this has nothing to do with this thread or even this team, but my thoughts go out to him as well.

It's mentioned in this article--very sad:

Quote:
And in that long walk from the stands to the podium that every hockey-playing kid dreams of making, when he slid the Predators jersey over his shoulders for the first time and parked a team ball cap on his head, there was a moment given only to the memory of a twin sister, Ashley, who perished in a house fire three years ago, and a thought for his mother, who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and wasn't expected to live and see this moment.

"I think of my mom and my sister," Blum said. "I wish my sister would have been up there in the crowd. It would have really meant a lot. But she is in our hearts and we think about her and that's something that my family needs. We've been through a lot. It's a lot of pressure off my family and we can just go and enjoy it tonight and for the next couple of months."
