Hypothetical: Trade deadline...

Ok so i've been thinking about this for days and not just because of the Rangers current record but truly out of curiousity... It's a complete hypothetical. (I don't even care about our record until about 20 games in).

What if...

By the trade deadline the Rangers have a ridiculously bad record. Who could we trade and what could we get for them as far as picks prospects?

That's obvious it's more of the speculation of what we could get out of them.

But I want to add: If Tyutin is considered "untouchable", Girardi is as well.

I dunno about that. They are the types of guys that teams would want, but aren't irreplaceable to the club. I would be more worried for them.

Did you miss the part where it says, Completely Hypothetical. Or the fact that I am a supporter and have always been on the defensive against the negative posters. Maybe even the fact that I said the record doesn't concern me?

this thread is two games past due with this boards mentality...

just because it's hypothetical doesn't mean its something that should be talked about 6 games into the season...

hahaha wow it's a little early to think about who we can dump. Right now I'm wondering what center we can get before the trade deadline.

HF-land, where fans prefer rebuilding to contending.

ill answer the question:

Straka- forward prospect and a third rounder

Jagr- very good prospect- probably a forward...maybe a first if a team is desperate enough

Shanny- 3rd round maybe? his stock is falling fast

Rozsival (and hopefully Malik!!!!)- if both of em are gone at the same time then maybe a decent Dman but not a big time offensive Dman- Rosy could probably get a 3rd or 2nd rounder with his decent play or maybe even a great prospect..Malik...idk...maybe sather could work something out...after all we did get Bourret for Dupuis

dont forget Montoya, altho im sure he would be gone alot sooner.

You've got to be kidding... It's not like i'm calling for heads. It's a fantasy or simulation thread. You people are way to quick to chastise people.

If anyone right now thinks the Rangers will be in this situation by the deadline than they're nuts. But **** everyone is negative anyway at least we could discuss the possibilities of the youth we could get if these vets do tank (this is HF as in Hockey's Future).

Whatever 90% of the posters on these forums piss me off with there attitudes and there my **** don't stink ****ing mentality so why waste my time defending a thread that I feel is harmless.

well, in the spirit of the original intention of the post, my guess would be the first 2 to go would be the expiring contracts of Shanny and Straka on the forward lines, and mara and malik on defense.

drury and gomez have NMC's.

id keep jagr.

those would be the 4 i wouldnt mind getting rid of. Id also try to move Hollweg if i could, since i think byers could take his role right now.

The sky is falling!

Hank gave up 5 goals last night - why don't we trade him too while we're at it!

A little OT - but this board has gotten a crap load of threads lately, a lot of them being pointless, a lot of closings as well, anyone else notice?

More like Pock and Roszival gave up 3 goals last night and Henrik gave up 2.

In my mind Henrik still has a 2.02 GAA.

Oh ya..and without Staal, it would of been 6.

Yeah well it's because of everyone having a "the sky is falling" mentality... I should have delayed this thread topic until the trade deadline itself regardless of our position it's just a hypothetical. I can see why people jump all over anything that can be interpreted as negative but come on you gotta know when and where. It's not like I was calling for Renney to get fired oh well i'll just go back in my hole.

not necessarily talking about this thread, just didn't want to make a new thread for that statement.

I wouldn't trade Jagr or Shanny. Unless they asked for it. You gotta be able to sign free agents in the off-season and let them know we don't just dump superstars...

I'd offer Roszy a new contract, if he doesn;t resign - deal him..

Malik - trade him.

Avery - trade him, you'd get something good for him...Offer him a contract first...

Straka - trade him

Orr/Hollywood/Betts - trade em

Mara - deal him....

Girardi, who is quickly becoming this teams #1 defenseman.
