Plans for John Erskine?

I've noticed that since the Stars Defense has been back to full health, Erskine hasn't been in the lineup, playing in just one of Dallas' last twelve games. It appears as though there are seven Defensemen in Dallas higher on the depth chart than Erskine.

Will Dallas try to send him to Utah and expose Erskine to waivers, trade him or continue to let him rot in the press box?

Also, speculating if Erskine were on waivers, who may be interested in claiming him?

Do some research before posting questions.. Erskine has been injured and has been activated since yesterday. Why would a rugged defenseman with heavyweight enforcing skills and potentials be waived? Much less when you add he's been pretty good this season and the fact that Dallas Defense is utterly thin if you look at their future.

IF he were waived Darcy Regier should put a claim in on him.

Although, I wouldn't expect that to happen any time soon.

December 18, 2003 Activated defenseman Teppo Numminen and right wing Aaron Downey from injured reserve;

This marked the first time the Stars Defense was 100% healthy since they aquired Jon Klemm, since than.........
Dec. 19th vs. FLA - Erskine a healthy scratch
Dec. 20th vs Tampa - Erskine a healthy scratch
Dec. 22nd vs.CAR - Erskine a healthy scratch
Dec. 26th vs Nash - Erskine a healthy scratch
Dec. 27th vs Clb - Erskine dressed, but Dallas went with 7 Defenseman
Dec. 29th vs. Philly - Erskine a healthy scratch.
-injured

Also during this stretch of games Erskine told the Dallas mourning news that he was upset about being scratched....... and so he should be, Erskine has paid his dues and is capable of being an everyday NHL defenseman. Hopefully Dallas doesn't set him back by having him sit in the press box for the majority of what's left of this season.

So MG are you saying Erskine has beaten out Sweeney and Daley for the 6th D-spot while he was on injury reserve, or is my Question legit?.... cuz Erskine seems to think so.

How about Laraque for Erskine. The oil need a d-man in the 3rd pairing just like erskine and Dal had interest in laraque in the past.

How about it

How does this resolve the Stars problems of a thin blueline for the future? The current Laraque adds nothing, absolutely nothing..

How about Brian Campbell and Andy Delmore for Erskine?
