It's ****ing freezing here.

Wind chill will be -20 to -30 tonight.

Be careful if you're going out.

Too cold to go out and do anything. With the game tonight though, chances are I'd be staying in and watching it here anyway.

Hope the roads won't be too bad in the morning.

Likewise. I love cold and snow. No wonder I'm such a huge hockey fan. Serioulsy though, if any of you are going out tonight, be carefull. Tempreture is supposed to be -2 w/o the wind chill & something like -25 w/ the wind chill.

Love this weather...

funny thing, though...was in Puerto Rico the last couple days and when I landed last night the pilot was nice enough to say that with the wind chill, there was a 100 degree difference between the temperture in PR when we left, and in NY when we arrived. Thought that to be pretty dramatic.

But heck, the cold's great (until the pipe's burst)...it's almost cold enough for me to bust out a jacket.

That's nothing! Try being here in Ottawa. Regular daytime temperature yesterday was -15(F) and -50(F) with the wind. That's cold! Just a few minutes outside in this temp and people call you stupid for being outside.

Yeah, but you guys expect that EVERY winter. I was born & raised in NYC,
lived in Colorado for a few years, visit relatives in Vermont frequently and i have to say this is the coldest weather
i've ever been subjected to.
I love it!

We do expect some cold temperatures, but not during the day. Certainly not this cold.

Either way, expected or not, this is damn cold!

bah.

it was minus 48 (windchill factor) in southern manitoba last week.

can you imagine what it would have been like to fight in russia during the second world war? anyone with a bit of knowledge in history knows how brutal the conditions were for particularly german soldiers. plus they only had summer clothes...
