Yeah, they've corrected some mistakes. I notice the STL comment is now accurate as well. SJ is now 17th...behind us.

Truth be told, I tend to think the same. I was happy to see us win the last game *without* a shutout. We still have a losing record in games in which we give up a goal (2-3-0-1) and I have to be honest in saying that that worries me since we aren't getting a lot of scoring. I doubt Pascal is capable of 40+ shutouts in a season.
I want to see more scoring. I believe we feed off of the good goaltending. In Pazzy's 4 shutouts we have put up 13 goals. That is a 3.25 gpg average. He could have given up 2 in three of the games and 3 in one of the games and still got the win. Those were not 1-0 shutout wins. I believe when Pazzy is playing even a little bit well we feed and attack. We do not need shutouts but we will need great goaltending all year.

GO JACKETS!!!

Laughable - they have the Blackhawks and Rangers ahead of us.

He was pretty good in Pittsburgh.

okay okay! Good times.

Anywho- this 4th place ranking...Wowzers.

I may just be getting dangerously close to thinking that I may be able to believe that we are actually a good team.

Talk me down please.

TSN and Sportsline - no rankings yet

What is taking TSN to get there rankings out and also sportsline. I really think they are looking at the CBJ ranking and trying to figure out how to explain there pre-season predictions without looking completely foolish.

Anybody else want to join me in NOT CARING what tsn, thn, espn, or any other "n" thinks of the Jackets? I've never cared if they respect us, respect Nash, or what they think of Cbus. Would prefer that teams and reporters continue to underestimate us. We're going to need every edge we can get.

I've never cared what they think. These guys all picked Anaheim at the beginning of last year to win the Cup, then turned around and picked Ottawa to win it all prior to the Finals because that was the sexy pick at that moment in time. The only standings that matter are the ones based on wins and losses.

TSN probably has the CBJ ranked in the top ten and their computer keeps responding, "DOES NOT COMPUTE, DOES NOT COMPUTE!".

Come on guys..

were on to the next set of 10.. all prior rankings go out the window and you start over.. its a new grading period, eh? I like the way Hitch has suggested looking at this.. break the season down into bite size chunks, then always play like your coming from behind.

We can get better play from everyone.. but specifically the lines of:

Chimmer Manny Fritsche
Brule Federov Boll
these 6 are working way to hard not to be rewarded for it.. the goals are going to start tickling the twine.

and the Modin Novotny Vyborny line could be very formidable when Modin gets healthy and Vybes starts shooting the puck!!!

LeClaire is winning and he really hasn't had to stand on his head.. he can do so, and he will steal a game for us soon.

Up to #4 on TSN now.

Jackets serving up some serious crow to the NHL pundits right now.
