I would like to see Shanny traded for any type of pick. Just get him off the team. Actually I would really like to trade him for a Knubleesque type of player. Either one of those would be fine w/ me. Just to have his cap space off the team would be worth it.

Only problem is if we're keeping Straka and Jagr on this team, we need to keep Shanny. Shanny might not be valuable to us during the regular season but I'm sure he'd be one of the most important players in the playoffs. I rather Shanny take it easy and keep himself fresh through the regular season. Then in the playoffs, give EVERYTHING HE HAS to the point where his body falls apart to win the cup since it's probably his last season.

But his bonus will count against the cap on next years team. He just isn't worth it anymore. Especially b/c of his horrible contract. Also we still have to get enought points to qualify for the playoffs. I think we should, but who knows.

these Oilers proposals are feast or famine.

Jagr + Straka for Pitk + 1st? (although we couldn't take the cap hit).

Hemsky for Malik.

Shouldn't you guys just leave the team be for a while and let them gel a bit? Seems like there's too much talent for them not to turn it around... mind you, maybe it'll be like the late 90's I guess... good individual talent, not a great team.

If we did Jagr for Cheechoo, 1st round pick, and top prospect.

While trading Straka and Shanny for picks and prospects.

Our lineup could be:

Prucha-gomez-Cheechoo
Dawes-Drury-Cally
Hossa-Dubinsky-Avery

As the top 3 lines. Not only do we have a future of youngsters playing but we'd have a bunch of picks and more prospects in an already deep system.

If we got Wishart instead of Setoguchi (SJ rather keep Seto), we can have the future D being girardi, Tyutin, Staal, Wishart, Sang, Sauer

We'd have incredible talent on D too which could be one of the best in the league.

I seriously think this can be a SC caliber team FOR YEARS to come. This isn't even mentioning if guys like Bourret and Cherapanov pan out.

And you want him, taking a regular shift, on the 3rd line? I hope your confusing him with someone else. And I don't think the Blues will be giving up on McKee, despite his injury problems for two upcoming UFA's, unless they happen to really like Malik and Mara.

You haven't seen the Wild play much, eh.

We got Mara for Ward. A free agent. Hes a free agent at the end of the season.

So is Malik. 90% of the fans want Malik gone.

Its really 2 rentals and a 2nd for a very good d.

Boogaard is the man. Nobody will try messing with the "smurfs" anymore. hes the most feared man in the NHL.

Im not talking about the trade Im talking about his 3rd and 4th lines. Do they make sense, good back and look. Its imaginery, yes, but I think he is serious about it and its makes no sense at all.
