You are absolutely right, but I just don't think Lundqvist will ever be a Devil. He loves the spotlight and he loves NY
Not saying there is no chance he leaves, but I just think if he ever does, it won't be to NJ. Brodeur has already established himself there, and all his accomplishments will continue to overshadow anything any other goalie ever does there imo
It was only a hyperthetical senario showing that if it was a player you thought you could count on to stay, and he leaves, it would piss off the fans. How many of the Devils fans actually want to see him hurt? Not that many. I doubt any of his old teammates would intentionally hurt him anyway.
Just pointing out that Gomez does go back on his word and someone who does that isn't usually high on my list. I would never wish him to be hurt though.
Not confident on a NYR win, especially if they put Strudwick in, he helps in no sense of the matter.
anyway, this is bad, I predict a 3-2 or 2-1 NYR loss.
What's so awful about this Strudwick guy, I havent seen him play much? I wouldnt worry about it though, the Devils have their own secret weapon who is constantly the opponents "7th man", his name is Johnny Oduya. Or Johnny Odontya as many Devils fans say.
although the game tonight is vs the Devils at MSG, there is something i'd to share with my fellow Rangers fans:
just finished writing back and forth with a former colleague who now lives in the tri-state area. as i've never been to newark and he ventures there now and then, i asked him if all that i read about newark being such a dangerous place with a high crime rate is true...
well, funny man as he is, he sent me this precautionary youtube video:
Probably not? well why's that? Dawes has played exceptionally well in all 3 games participated, knocked a few posts, got robbed a few times, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the only one that scored, god knows not even our biggest offensive threats can hit the back of the net.
It wasn't meant to be a knock against Dawes, I just don't see any one player on this team scoring a hat trick tonight with the way things have gone early on this season. Could the Rangers use one? Of course. Dawes has looked good to me. But the pressure isn't all on him, for there are far more established players on this team who haven't gotten it done offensively.
