Zidlicky

How's he looking? Looks like Suter and Hamhuis are getting more ice time to start the year. What will happen when Weber gets back will his ice drop considerably more? PP time etc?

Well, he's looking a little black and blue tonight.

Sorry guys, couldn't resist.

good game, I was there and your team played well, nothing to be ashamed of around here.

BTW, matching fighting majors was a joke of a call on that.....he never dropped his gloves and Kunitz was pounding on him like a meat sack.

at the most, that should have been double minor to Kunitz for roughing and 2 minutes for Zids for roughing. He is a surprisingly good fighter, and I am sure he was trying to get the PP to help us get back in the game.

I agree w/ NMK, best overall game he has played in some time.

the calls were a joke indeed. Replace Kunitz with Tootoo and imagine the threads that would be littering this place.

However, I was embarassed for Zidlicky after that scuffle. Kunitz didnt do much but soften Zid's gloves, but it still looked pretty bad.

Sadly, you're right. If it had been Tootoo he would have been tossed from the game and then suspended several games. Zidsucky turtled like a pansy trying to get the powerplay. Pathetic officiating. As for Kunitz....once a punk, always a punk.

Zidlicky is a good fighter and Kunitz isn't Laraque or smth. That call was indeed a joke, Zidlicky must be pissed about that, it was pretty clear that he tryed to get PP for his team. And in final he got some punches in face, never dropped the gloves, but still got fighting major.

Ben Eager does not get a fighting major in this play. Just another example of piss poor officiating, and a total lack of consistency.

He's looking relatively better, but he's not gonna have another career year. Will his ice time drop when Weber gets back? God I hope so. But I think he will remain on the PP. Our defense is very frustrating right now. I'm calling this now, Koistinen will be shipped soon.

running our pp, you would expect him to wind up at least in the 50-55 points scored range.. if he doesn't net 50 it'll surprise me

They need a scapegoat I guess. I think that was a good idea in any case, since the effort from him hasn't been good.

Peg him in the mid 40s, he'll still be a good fantasy player. Hopefully.

It's not that we need a scapegoat, the whole team has been taking alot of well deserved criticism. Zidlicky is a defensive liability, and can't hold the puck in the zone from the point to save his life.

Trotz chose the right man to sit, and I hope he sits tonight also.
