Best Place to Shoot

Where should you shoot, or look to shoot most often?

are you asking like where to aim or where on the ice to shoot from?

Off wing - anywhere from a foot off the goal line to the top of the circle.

Where to aim depends on the goalie. I tend to like to go near post if the goalie is coming across and far post about a foot and a half off the ground if the goalie is up and ready for a shot. Sometimes, if the goalie is set and I have a second to really
look, I'll try to go right over the blocker side shoulder.

Just put pucks on net during a game. Obviously, you want to pick yourspot in a breakaway, just look for the openings.

One thing I like to do when coming down on the off-wing is look like you are going top corner on the opposite side of the net and then quickly put it five hole before the goalie can react.

I like shooting High Stick if I'm close enough. Otherwise, just shoot low imho.

I like to test the goalie early and see what his strengths are. Though I generally prefer to shoot low. Better chance of getting through bodies and giving a rebound. If I have a clear shot at the goalie though...just look for the net. Don't look at the goalie, look for the white of the net.

In the slot and also in the dangerous area to pick up rebounds.

Maybe on the point during powerplays if you have a hard shot.

Depends on where the goalie is and where I am. Usually I'll try and move the goalie and shoot where he isn't. Most of my goals are scored on one-timers, not too often that I snipe the goalie 1-on-1. If I've got teammates behind me, I'll shoot low to get the goalie to go down and give up a rebound hopefully, otherwise just pick a spot and shoot.

Stick side is usually the weakest spot in most goalies.

a Quick release usually scores more goals than picking a spot to shoot at.

I go the 'get pucks on net' route. I'm a defenseman, not interested in a being a superstar.

I'm money going in on the RW as a left hand shooter shooting far side of the net.

My release puts Sakic to shame.. well maybe not but it is my strength.

Stick side. Inside the shooting Triangle. Shoot quickly and telegraph that you are going glove corner.

Look at the goalie when your shooting, most goalies have a tendency to lean one way or the other. I generally just try to find a hole and then hit it, between the glove and the body works real well on goalies who keep their glove extended out instead of in tight.

See that guy blocking the net, the goalie? Shoot towards where ever he isn't.

I like to shoot for the corners but I also like to try for the five hole. Nothing like pissing off a goalie more then having the puck going between his legs. I pissed off a goalie once playing open. I scored 6 times 5 hole on him, that he got so pissed off and left. That was classic!! He was an ******* anyway

Slot is the best place, off wing a close second that way you have the inside shot and its easier to aim. As for on a goalie. If they get down on their knees in butterfly I try to go up top, look for where the shoulder would bend if they were to lift up their arms(good spot and unless they jump up, they wont get it if its under the bar). Or corners. I like going high but I also wait and to see if the golaie goes low or not

Really only three places that I'll actually look to shoot at: low stick side, high glove, and five-hole.
