Nah- people have their preferences, thats an opinion. But he also stated that they are comparable, which is definitely true. The fact that so many Rangers fans have a huge problem with that is- odd.

I think your issue is with some posters on your own board. (RAGS, BABY! RAGS! We're bringing it back! Let's go RAGS!)

The "problem" is that him (or you) having that OPINION has abso-flippin-lutely nothing to do with why Islanders fans have a problem with what Al Trautwig did. Hasnt that been explained enough already???

i agree, but i don't understand how it isn't getting respect for saying dp in not top 5 league wide? he is def top 10, but it is true he is not top 5

and yes it has been explained, but seriously, who cares?

I finally clicked on this thread because I assumed it was gonna be Ranger fans complaining about how much Trautwig sucks. Then I find out that it's Isles fans with their panties in a bunch because he made a snippy comment to a fan's snippy question?? Wow.

Trautwig sucks. We don't pay much attention to what he has to say, so why are the Islanders fans? Get over it.

Aren't there more inspirational quotes from Chris Campoli you should be reading? Get over it already. Was what he did right? Probably not. Was it funny? Probably. The reality of it is some people don't care and some people do. I prefer somebody who acts more like a buddy of mine I'm watching the game with than a "professional" who sits on the fence all day long. And the fact you tend to be overlooking, is no matter how snotty and unprofessional he appeared to come across, he was right! Lundqvist will be sleeping next to his gold medal tonight while Rick DiPietro wonders if he'll beat out that stud Ryan Miller for the U.S. starting job.

I mean in general, the NYI get no respect from the media. I wasn't talking particularly about that situation.

If I remember correctly, DP played pretty well for a not so good US team 4 yrs ago. So I don't think he will lose any sleep thinking about Ryan Miller. Dp is better than Ryan Miller, sorry to dissapoint you. But, that's for another day.

Nah I'm not debating that I'm just being snotty cause miss school teacher has her panties in a bunch over this whole issue. I'd take DP over Miller but my point was the fact that atleast for the country that those two play for there will be a battle for top goaltender. Lundvist has no such problem and if he were American would probably mean one of those two didn't even make the American squad.

Exactly. He doesn't matter. So why bother getting so worked up over him?

I don't think it's about sexism, it's just that guys use "panties in a bunch"-type comments any time someone (man or woman) overreacts to something stupid.

And since you're obviously a woman, and obviously one who overreacts to stupid things, the comments are coming more frequently now because it's fun to push people's buttons.

Yes. The real overreaction here was by the people who went off thinking that Isles fans dont have the right to even say anything about something like this on their own board- which is why this thread was started! A lot of us just think it was a dicky thing for him to do- but we got **** for saying so- we got trolled on our own board AND ragged on for it. Its pretty lame.

i thought the procedure was not to respond to trolls, but just report to the mods, because responding only creates more problems?

That's the popular opinion. But, to be honest, there seems to be so much Rangers talk over there, perhaps they simply forgot which board they were on.
