Clear the streets, it Flyers-Leafs!

I know we have Buffalo tonight but with the way the guys have been playing, thought this article might get us and them ready for the home and home series this weekend

Flyers-Leafs

If the Flyers can't even beat the Pittsburgh farm-hands, I'm not expecting much against a decidedly more elite Toronto squad. Banged-up or not, they still play hard and find ways to win almost every night. Conversely, the Flyers have found several new ways to lose this season. I hope to all that is held dear that the Flyers win in Philly. I don't want to drive 9 hours for nothing.

So you guys do, or don't, put a lot of stock in the 7-1 win over the Leafs a couple months back?

So which poor sap reportive assistant did the research on this...

Isn't one of your SOB members attempting infiltration into the ACC this weekend?

If the Flyers play like they have been the past few weeks, it won't be much of a series.

Is there any chance the Leafs won't beat the hell out of us both games? I don't think so.

Yes, sounds like a plan. Maybe Clarke can round up some prison inmates to play these two games, and give the "regulars" some time off. Who cares if they can't skate? (The inmates that is)

Ya - Feds, Kane, Siklenka, call up the Chief.
We can use Brashear as out offensive threat.

I think both teams' fans have a right to be scared of this weekend, and rightfully so based on the situations (Flyers poor play, Leafs injuries/somewhat poor play).

I think Toronto is in for a tough test. Your Flyers are gonna be pretty pissed and hungry for a win after their poor play of late. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see some pretty ugly scraps and alot of chippy play in this series. Most of it will likely happen in the Saturday game IMHO. It's a toss up for who will win either game. It's way to hard to predict this one, but we'll all enjoy it!

The Flyers always play their best hockey against the leafs. I figure Roenick should get 5 games for throwing a water bottle at the ref. That is worse than Tucker making a meaningless charge at the Sens bench and getting 5 games or Domi punching Arvedsn and getting 2 games. But Clarke is tight with the league and Campbell has it in for the leafs so my guess is one game.

All good points McFly. However if Hackett is in goal, you can add about a dozen goals for your Leafs too your list of upcomming events.

I don't think Toronto has the Flyers beat. You look at their past 3 games and they have a whopping goal total of 5. Their opponents totals were 9 all together. We are teams that really aren't playing good hockey at the moment. Players are taking stupid penalties (JR & Sundin) that hurts the team, they are getting beat by good teams & bad. They get a win and then get a bad loss. If anything, this is the perfect team to be playing. It brings out the best hockey in both teams. I would vote for a split and if the Flyers stay pissed maybe get 3 out of 4. Whoa, wait, our games never go to overtime.

The Flyers have a better chance with me in net then they do with Hackett, so they'll lose at least one game, more likely both of them. Actually, I'm not sure if they'll win another game this year.
