GDT: At Tampa

Back to baby jesus edition.

Sig of the day: I see you like to use superflous hyperbole's, eh? (Not from a Tampa fan so I can't guarantee a win tonight).

Pretty Icons for anti shoddy people

:thrashers at

Lineups

Ilya - Other guys.
Enstrom - Old shot Dmen.

Tampa board says Pavelec starts tonight, so we'll see how he can handle 45 shots. If he can hold them to 11 goals, I like our chances.

Anti-shoddites unite

Lets see if we see any carryover from that great 3rd period in Ottawa.

The funniest thing is we're changing offensive line combinations every game yet somehow the D pairings are still staying exactly the same.

I like the confidence in this thread. Haha!

Looking forward to see, how the Kovalossa experiment works out. Didn't they already played together, during that "comback" against the Sens?

Blueland blog is confirming Pavelec in goal.

Tampa Bay 0
Atlanta 392

Pavelec stands on his head, joins the circus, trades Marian Hossa for last year's Marian Hossa, steals Marc Savard from Boston, and makes Zhitnik younger.

Kovalchuk (300)
Enstrom (50)
Pavelec (40)
Savard (2)

Zhitnik and Hossa with 392 assists each.

I had heard somewhere that Tampa had improved the lighting situation in their rink this offseason. I guess that is not the case. We should get miner's helmets for our boys the next time they go to Tampa.

Not much defense being show by either team early on.

Word. Slater with 12, Thorburn with 14, Klee with 9 and Pavelec with 2.

Damn you Enstrom for screwing up my prediction. *g*

Is this the first or the second time we have scored the first goal?

Nice job of falling into your goaltender Exebly. I also appreciate the way he just slides across the ice instead of attempting to get up immediately.

We are seeing carry over from the Ottawa game...the 2nd period.

Can't let Tampa just sit in our zone for 10 minutes straight.

Welcome to the NHL, Pavalec... at least Atlanta's version of it. This is how you can expect things to look.

1 shot in the last 7 minutes, we just let them sit in our zone and keep taking shots

It would also really be great if everybody but Kovalchuk would quit just rolling over and dying after we get scored on.

It is pretty funny that Lecavalier is known as a skill guy who can defend himself, but 3 Tampa players have to jump on Exelby after the play because he dared to push Vinny about 2 minutes ago.

Protecting your skilled players is great, but seriously, that was the most minor of bumps. If they're headhunting Exelby over that, these guys need some anger management counseling.

Not exactly Tortarella's strong suit

Tampa is pretty riled up right now, after their last road trip they should be.

I am all for clearing the puck on the PP, but not out of the rink Klee. That was an idiotic play, especially with Havelid already in the box.
