Went to the game last night, sat in sec 109 (almost directly behind Pavelec) last row.
The Great:
Young #33 put on quite a show last night!
-Made lots of impressive saves on tough shots in traffic, especially on redirections (of which there were bunches)
-Cool headed scrambling for loose pucks in the crease, never looked out of control
-Looked much better handling the puck than in TPA
-He is huge
-I believe that, like Little and Enstrom, he is the real deal. Let's wait and see how his psyche holds up after getting shelled (sadly, this will happen).
The Good
Chukky's Goal
-He looked like he took a page from Hoss' playbook last year, fake to the slot then burn around the outside.
-His shot is truly a sight to behold, and the way he is picking his corners and just nailing them is beyond impressive.
-It truly is a shame that most Atlantans are missing out on, by far, the best athelete representing this fine city.
The Rooks
-Little continues to impress. His speed, agility and creativity are superior and he's a pile of fune to watch. If we had a finisher on his line who could keep up with his speed and creativity, we'd have a little (

OYID) scoring depth.
-Popovic looks steady. Good speed, solid positioning, and responsible decision making with the puck. He is Tracking upwards IMO.
-Enstrom. Does anything need to be said? I love that he's here.
The Bad
Nonexistent PP
-I think our best option is to develop a PP scheme where all our players and the puck are constantly moving. Chukky on the point -> Chukky on the 1/2 boards -> Chukky on the point hasn't and won't get it done.
Bobby Holik
-I don't know what he brings to the clubhouse, but he hasn't brout anything to the ice this season.
-The single most invisible $4.5million player I've ever/never seen.
-The only time I've noticed him at all this year is when he's taking a penalty.
Kozlov
-He looks like he just can't keep up. I didn't expect last year's Kozzy to return, but I certainly didn't expect this much of a drop off.
-I would think 'The Computer' would find ways to contribute despite losing a step.
Hossa
-I was really hoping to see him step it up after Chukky's injury but...
-Given what we saw him do last season, this years #18 is a shadow of his former self. Something's up here, whether it's physical, mental, opr whatever...Something's up.
Offensive Defense
-As long as this team has only one (rookie) defenseman who can carry the puck and lead a breakout, they will continue to give up tons of SOGs.
-This problem will continue to haunt the Thrashers until addressed, either from a coaching stanpoint (i.e. design breakouts that X et al can run) or from a roster standpoint.
-Zhitnik on the PP

I though he was supposed to be a specialist. I really think we got hosed in the Coburn trade.
4th Line
-Welcome to our zone, won't you stay awhile?
-No real physicality or enery.
The Ugly
Chukky's Injury
-He dropped like a sack of potatoes after taking a onetimer on the PP, tried to get up but couldn't.
-It looked, to me, like he pulled something, but I really know nothing about that stuff so...
-In his absence our team looked just like what they were: a mediocre team that lost their ringer. (Some may want to dispute this, but when your top line is Slater-White-Hossa, I rest my case.)
-Very disappointed DW didn't put Little and Hossa together for the 3rd period. If he had, OT may not have been necessary.
OT: Is it me or did Ray Borque's kid grow up overnight.
