Tougher? Yes. A better player? Not by a long shot.

And sit Malik in the pressbox? Or pair him with Mara, which as a previous poster said is a potential disaster?

I'm not sure why it's any more of a disaster than Mara and Strudwick. Hell, Malik is even a better skater than Strudwick and much more effective with his stick. Strudwick is a good team guy and ok filler for injuries, but Malik is a better player than him

Any word on Malik's return?

The Rangers have done pretty well overall without him, both in the win column and defensively. I don't think that's because of him, but very often I don't think the good defense is because of him either. Kind of highlights the importance of Henke and the system, as opposed to certain individual players.

I just think Staal will develop his game quicker if paired with Rozsival.

It's possible by the end of the year and especially in the playoffs (if we make them), that Tyutin-Girardi and Staal-Rozsival could both log 24 minutes of ice time.

The truth is that Malik has been better than Rosy so far this year.

The game recaps today mentioned that he's doubtful for tomorrow

Strudwick is a good spot replacement, but going forward as an everyday pair I wouldnt be happy with Mara-Struds.

klingsor...

I'd knock about 2 minutes off that number - but yeah, you would have a couple nice pairings.

Chosen - can't say I really disagree, however, where Rozsival has lacked defensively, he was provided offensively, so for me, it's a bit more even.
