Three consecutive hattricks: Has it ever been done?

Theorectially, Ilya Kovalchuk has the chance to accomplish that feat tonight against the Washington Capitals. Didn't some of the big guns of the past have managed to score 3 consecutive hattricks? The Hull's, Bossy, Gretzky...etc.

EDIT: Some sort of prove (eg. a link) would be appreciated! (in regard to the post below.)

I don't know, but Kovalev once scored 8 goals in 2 games IIRC
