Tryouts

I tried out for a team a couple nights ago( i did ok) and the coach invited me back for a second tryout. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It would be a bad thing if you got cut.

its never bad to get called back unless you dont wanna be on the team. but if you played for him before than i dont think there is any problem but if your new you should try and see how many of the same players are coming back to see how many spots might be there.

Yes.

Have you never tried out for a team before dude? It's very common, and a good thing.

Assuming you want to play for them, good luck on your second tryout.

Maybe some players signed, others(including you) were invited back for another look?
If that's it your on the bubble, go full out right to the end of each drill. Show hustle, enthusiasm.....and have fun. Kids that impressed me at tryouts were the ones you could just tell loved the game. Smile, be yourself....congratulate other players on good plays if you scimmage.
Its a long season, if skills are close the coaches will look at other areas when making selections.

I have to ask this.

Are you serious? Why would you ask that?

I can see how this could be easily misunderstood for someone who hasn't tried out for a team before. He's probably just assuming that people who stood out in camp got on the roster immediately.
