coming to nashville

Hi Preds fans. I'm coming to Nashville in a few weeks to see a game, and was wondering about where to stay. I'd like to stay within walking distance of the arena- is that possible? Any recommendations/cautions?

Thanks!

There is a Hilton literally across the street from the arena. Pricey, I'm sure.

The Hilton is clearly the best location. There are a variety of hotels within walking distance and all are fairly safe I think. I think the Doubletree sucks but all the others are likely ok (Renaissance, Courtyard-- I think its a courtyard at 4th and Church, Sheraton).

Bring several friends-- we have this little 14,000 paid issue that we are working on.

I highly recommend the Union Station Hotel. It's historic, nice, within walking distance of the arena, and has a great beer bar attached to it.

with links and reviews to the various hotels, bars and eateries downtown. most of them have mapquest links so you can figure it all out.

for instance Demos is a good greek/italian, ichiban for japanese food, beer sellar for that special brew, mulligan's if you want guniess or bass and a sing along, 12th and porter if you want some music, Noshville deli if you want that knish....you get the point.
