Noronen #1?

Is Noronen the #1 goalie for the rest of the year?

Possibly. Hard to not play him the way he's performing in his past few games...

I think Ruff will continue with the basic rotation that's gone on for most of the season where one guy plays until he loses.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see Mika get another start after losing only 1-0 last night.

Agreed, watched quite a few Sabres games this season on the dish(I have Drury on my big$$ auction team) and other than this recent stretch by Biron when Noronen was out hurt, he has clearly outplayed Biron this entire season. From what I've seen as an outsider, I'd have to guess Noronen gets 60-65% of the starts the rest of the way with Biron and maybe even Miller splitting the rest......Noronen has proved he's the real deal and IMO he's earned the #1 job......we'll see

And yet another goaltending clunker by whoever is wearing a mask and pads. It doesn't make much difference who's in net, Noronen, Miller, Biron... They've all been bad.

I think it's time to give Miller his due and look to longterm rather than shortterm solutions. Granted, that also means having a longterm plan in place and with Regier at the helm and Quinn pulling the strings, I doubt they have one.

*sigh*

I may be alone with this thought, but playing Miller know means a serious shot at Ovechkin.

I'm not impressed with the way he's looked recently.

I was going to put this in a new thread but I'm just going to say it here.

I agree. Miller has been at best, very medicore this season. He tends to have a strong first two periods, then collapses completely in the third. He hasn't shown the ability to actually hold himself together for 60, 65 minutes.

However I think the attached image, which I found on another board, is more or less a big part of the problem. There ought to be no way Mike Peca is allowed to practically sit on Mika's shoulder without someone knocking him around. (other than Mika.)

For a defensive minded club it always seems as if the offense can't open it up because the defense isn't there, IMO, and our confidence goes down as well as our win tallies.
