I never got why people get offended by the upstate comment. Its all relative. I was born in the Bronx and now I live in Southern Westchester. I still have family in LI, the Bronx and Manhattan and if they say I live upstate, whats the big deal, its true, I moved upstate. Therefore if I say something is a bit upstate and it is, like my aunts and uncles in Rockland and Orange Counties, I fail to see how thats an insult to someone. You are in fact further up the state than I am be it 30 minutes or 4 hours. I have a feeling this is an exclusive problem to NYers because I doubt those in Minot, North Dakota get offended if someone in Bismarck says they live "upstate".
You city folk need to get out and see the state more then, some beautiful land here where us "upstaters" abide . Seriously, I like the city and all, but I could never live there, wayy to many people for my liking. Id rather be able to jump on my snowmobile and head to the woods for a fun filled day, or head up into the adirondacks for some beautiful sights, to each their own though, So long as we all support the same team .
1) Being from CT, I don't get why there are so few CT fans here.
CT in the southern and western areas go for the Rangers, big time.
Even Central CT.
Yet only six voted.
It's not like CT likes the Bruins, they have very few fans unlike all other Boston teams.
2) The amount of Ranger fans in New Jersey. Are you guys older fans over 30, or do people born and raised there within the last 20 years still growing up to be Ranger fans?
