Ingredients to produce with Getzlaf/Perry: Be good at the cycle/forecheck and then willing to drive to the net/slot for Getzlaf and Perry to bounce pucks off of or to knock in rebounds. And to be able to pass it to Getzlaf and Perry when they drive to the net. Hit. Provide decent defense. And be prepared to back them up physically when they start **** (he doesn't have to fight all the battles, but just to help out when needed). Scoring touch is less necessary than willingness to go to the front of the net and tap in gimmes or rebounds. Or to push the goalie in... because goaltender interference is gonna get it.

Your earlier description of hits/fights/solid defensively sounds like a pretty good start. How's he on cycling and forechecking? The mobility thing is a slight concern in terms of can he beat the defender to pick up a dump in?

If that's what you're looking for, then he should do pretty well. He's not going to beat you with speed, but he'll be there in your face and isn't afraid to go to the net or camp there.

I have heard of him before this but not very much to tell you about him.

If you don't have anything to say why post? What's the point?

Overall I've liked the deal. This is Burke thinking longer term than just this season since they likely won't have both Marchant and R. Neidermayer in the lineup next season. The cap will force them to trade one or the other and Sutherby will slide in nicely as a younger and cheaper bottom 6 forward.

For this season he adds depth and if that means either May or Parros is in the press box, well that's a good thing.

So Sutherby will replace Kunitz soon on Getzlaf line?
No matter how it goes, I really like Sutherby playing style and he needs just more ice time to get his legs going and he will be nice fit on that line.
