Pick up roller hockey

I have participated in two games of pick up in the past out in Loudon county, each of which was a blast. I was thinking we should try to get another game going. Let's start by bouncing some dates off each other.

It'll be nice to actually play some and get our minds of the crap team we're watching.

How does next Saturday work for people? (Not this thanksgiving weekend, but the one after, ~12 days from now)

Getting two goalies would be fantastic.

So Saturday, 12/1/07? I'll play if we get enough people. We did a pickup game last year (organized by Otter) that was very successful.

Yes, 12/1. I'll post it on the official boards shortly.

I will try to be there and will spread the word as best I can.

I was in bad shape last time and the situation has only gotten worse. I predict that I can't keep up and I go home whining about the good old days. But it will be worth it.

I just posted this on the official boards.

I've attempted organizing twice, and both ended up happening, so I am optimistic that this will materialize as well!

Which rink, trailside by Stone Bridge, or out in Leesburg next to Douglas School. Also what kind of skill level have these pickup games consisted of, because and some friends play out there when we can get enough people but its for more advanced skaters. Also if there are any experienced players looking for a regular pickup game send me a pm.

My weekend is looking too busy for me to make it out there. Sorry guys.

May it go well and spark some future game.

I don't see it happening. When I posted it on the official boards, it sank off the page quickly. Even after I tried bumping it back up, it still didn't hang on.

It's too bad, it's been pretty popular in the past. I'll try again in a few weeks.
