He is same kind of headless Defenseman like NASHVILLE drafted Kulyash Denis. Big 195/99. Yes, they are strong with powerful shots! what else they can do onto the ice besides strong shots...? Definitely in Russia deficit of Markov Andrei class of players now at all the levels U-18, U-20 or senior... those who score and keep position well. Alas no play-makers class defensemen in Russia now. Stay at home probably VOINOV and CHUDINOV could be OK.

Traktor will improve their roster next year, I'm very sympathetic of them - my #2 team.

That's what famous USSR defenseman (1972 Summit Meetings CAN vs RUS) and current NYR scout thinks about D Piganovich. Link in Russian: http://www.allhockey.ru/news/24233/01-03-2008/

Oleg Piganovih did big progress this 07-08. He is looking good in offensive aspect of the game. Oleg still has problems in his own D zone. He makes silly mistakes in defensive aspects of the game and lacks mobility. He must learn to play more aggressive within the borders of rules.

Does he have any interest in coming to the NHL? Or is he happy where he is. Links would be appreciated.
