Home, and to points unknown.

(And no, Magnus Svensson-Paajarvi has not had an airport named after him... yet)

I'm guessing they'll be chartering an American jet since ol' N757SS is sitting on the tarmac in Seattle. Probably will have to connect somewhere too, don't see any flights scheduled from Dallas to Charlottetown. Or take the steamer up the coast. If they're lucky they can catch the gulf stream and make it into port by November.

Petition to the mods to change the thread title to "N801DM - Air Stars"

Ralph confirmed that this is the new plane for the whole season in his longer blog post.

fallout from the Hicks sale of the Rangers I imagine? It'd be weird to see that plane unless it got a paint job

I think I found the flight the Stars used to get to New Jersey.

It wasn't on their old plane (which didn't even take the Rangers to Tampa) nor was it on Mark Cuban's N801DM that they used in the preseason.

They seem to have taken a charter out of Love from Swift Air LLC. It stuck out because I don't think you can take a direct commercial flight to Newark because of the Wright Amendment.

Now this is interesting. They're back to using Cuban's N801DM, except that the Mavs are ALSO using it.

Here's the Stars' flight
into Tampa, followed by an immediately turnaround back to Love to pick up the Mavs today and take them slightly farther east to Orlando for tomorrow's preseason game.

N801DM - 10/20/10 - KTPA → KFLL

Don't let the airport codes fool you, they flew into the supremely misleadingly named Hollywood Int'l. Also a good example of a flight path adapting to the weather.

Just off the ground in Florida. Looks like they'll be able to beat the approaching storm line back to Dallas.

N801DM - 11/21/10 - KDAL → CYYZ

Talk about a weird flight path. After they crossed into Canadian airspace they had to zigzag back out over Lake Erie and into New York before finally continuing toward Toronto.
