Pothier... hello?! His two gaffes just didn't cost us. Very lucky. But he is what he is.

God I hope that they figure out their skate blade issues! People falling all over the place.

Crow right here! Please serve it medium.

I haven't blasted the guy but silently agreed with others.

it's not just confidence. It's using the highest skills of your highest skill players. AO's highest skill is his shot and power. Having him in the Brett Hull house draws attention and he doesn't have to control the puck. The attention he draws frees Green to move around while Backstrom and Nyls control the puck and cycle around the right side between them and Poti. That is the strength of those three. Confidence is there, but pulling the collective head out of their butt by bringing in an outside voice in BB is the main reason IMHO.

Damnit. This game is eerily similar to last night.

petty went the wrong way, he had that whole side open and he dumps it blindly around the boards. He has no sense of the game at all.

This isn't looking good.

Caps need to get some pressure or they are going to lose.

Brash needs a soccer net. Someone show him some Zednik footage so he can at least learn how to hit the goalie's crest.

Laich-Gordon-Steckel line needs to play like the 'checking' line they are. They keep getting owned in their zone.

PP for the 'Canes, but Justin Williams should get one for holding the stick as well.

EDIT: Nope, it's 4-on-4.

Pothier really is bad. I am so bummed we are "wasting" 2.5m of our precious salary space on him.

Just awful.

while I agree... that was a nice reverse to help clear the zone. He is what he is.

HA! Ovechkin seals it with a great shot.

EDIT: That's Boudreau's reward for playing AO with less than 2:00 to play.

<--------------------- THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was telling the wife before the game that on top of getting AO to limit his turnovers, but if he starts shooting blocker over glove and then mix it up he'll hit another level. WOW!!!
