Bauer 190's or Vapour XXXX's?

I'm going to be getting myself a new pair of skates this month and I've always worn Bauer skates....I haven't had a new pair since the Vapour 10's and I still use those ones. Any reccomendations?

Go and try them on.

I tried both pairs and ended up buying RBK 9Ks.

The one90's shredded my ankle to ****.

Go to modsquadhockey.com there are TONS of threads about the skates.

Avoid the Vapor XXXX's, you will probably find them way too stiff (most non-NHLers do). The XXX's and XX's are still pretty stiff as well (older models), and they are all pretty expensive. Id go with the XXV or XXII models (if you can find older & equivalent discountinued models they are just as good and are cheaper than the latest line).

Hope this helps.

The One90's fit differently than the Vapors. With all the stuff I've read about the One90. If that was the skate I really wanted. I'd probably wait for the One95's to come out.

I can be hard on skates, lucky if they last a year, probably skate on average 3-4 times a week, all games....Had the X, 2 XX, 2 XXX, 190 which I used 2 months, didnt care for, rocked the blades/no matter what I did couldn't stand the blades...got the XXXX's 2, 3 skates perfect...all my stuff gets dried/hung after every skate...most guys I know like the 70's better then the 90s...btw for sale 7.5 190s...200 bucks + shipping.
