also, am I the only one who thought Carter played a really great game last night? He was all over the ice, in the right places at the right time, and those last couple of shifts were incredible.
I really like how carter has been playing lately. Although I would like him to start putting the puck in the net or atleast on it. It seems like he is starting to try and use his size more. Being as this using your body concept is somewhat new to him, he has a long way to go, but I like his effort the past number of games
I'd rather deal with some inconsistency and lacklustre starts vs. mid-avg. teams while knowing we can beat the very best teams than the reverse.
This year's team is a work in progress - in first at the quarter pole. They have time to improve some of the little things they are doing wrong, but at least they have the confidence to beat the best and the resilience to fight back on an off night.
Last year being down two or three goals early meant game over. This year it still might go to OT or at least it ends up in dogfight. It's a big improvement.
what inconsistency? they played like crap against Carolina, but Ward was worse. crap against Washington. played well against Ottawa, though, they've been slumping... so that's qualified to an extent. then played like crap against Boston.
