We will hold on to poti he hasnt shown any reason to trade him yet. and if Pettinger doesnt start scoring soon he will be the next one to be moved.
The Rangers would have to dump a lot of salary to make that possible. That ship has likely sailed now that they've got Gomez and Drury up the middle and Jagr possibly becoming an UFA next summer.

Yes, but the rangers still cant score. I expect them to make a move at the deadline. Nylanders 4 year deal maybe what keeps them alway.

Players with years left on their contracts don't get moved at the trade deadline. The Rangers for sure won't taking him. They have Gomez and Drury.

See who the Caps have that has a contract expiring and that is who might be traded.

Kolzig. Thats about it.

Nothing. Those trades are not there. Sutherby for a 2nd. That is what is out there and around the NHL how many of those have you seen so far this season?

Major shake up trades...Boston traded Thornton...how did that go for them? Those things just dont happen in the new CBA climate.

while i HIGHLY doubt that would ever come to pass...

makfi better not even think about doing that, not once, not ever. nylander and jagirl work well together, jagr is going to reach his individual goals for the season, the only thing in doubt is whether or not they advance a round in the post season. if they do, jagirl's extension automatically kicks in for 08.

i dont want ANYTHING to remotely contribute to that, much less the gm here helping out.

you see, this is another area where makfi fails miserably.

he could send eminger, or borque, heck even semin, and this years first rounder along with one of the bevy of 2nd rounders he's hoarded for a legit player.

preferably on the blue line, but at this point, ill take a top 6 forward. theyve got cap space, and lord knows one of no offense grinding forwards could be sent down.

it takes two to tango, obviously. but for example, edmonton is ripe for the picking. with no #1 this year, the caps could dangle that carrot and probably name any player on the roster without sending a player back.

Poor play? Wasn't he (and his linemates) responsible for four of the last five goals the Caps scored?
