non-conformity for the sake of non-conformity is the same as conformity.

At least the Rangers improved the original rangers.nhl.com look from the start of the season. The one element I don't like is the half-ass job with the site banner where you see just the white-colored still official web address "newyorkrangers.com" slapped on it.

I would've had a beef about the change in design from the old to what it originally switched to under the NHL.com network format, but this is better. It's not bad to me at all.

As for the lawsuit, I don't know what else to say other than the league and the teams must work together for the common good of promotion and marketing of the game in the United States. If there is a need to sacrifice a small amount of complete individualism to achieve that goal, then the Rangers should just do it.

That's a shame. I hate the NHL's cookie-cutter websites. All that's different is the color and text.

Someone with too much time on their hands.

I used the old one when I was working for Sports Interactive from time to time. Judging by the looks of the new one, not much has changed.

Talk about crying over spilled milk.

Agreed. They don't even have the correct jersey numbers for the players on the roster. Both Betts and Gomez as 19 dubinsky, callahan way the hell off. If the NHL is gonna make them change then they should at least get the info they have on it correct. It was right on the old site. Also no contact info to get it corrected LAME!
