Does the phrase "can't hit the broad side of a barn" mean anything?

caps have 33 shots after two. last year they were lucky to have that in a freaking game.

1 goal so far.

if they find a way to lose in the 3rd i'll be pissed.

Potvin just laughed after Brashear blew that one and said "there is a dark cloud hanging over this team right now"

...and only 8 shots either blocked or missed the net. That's their best ratio this season by a pretty fair margin.

They're doing a good job blocking shots as well. They've blocked 10 and allowed only 15 on goal through two.

I think that a backup goalie does better when he plays spontaneously. Otherwise, they psyche themselves out when they know they have that one game coming 2 weeks from now. Its too much waiting, probably over thinking, and too much pressure when that fixed rotation comes around.

whats up with the new evil OV? cross checks that guy into the crossbar. then hits that defenseman from behind without the puck before the goal?

A win is good.

2 goals on a zillion shots, but a win nonetheless.

Now a few days for BB to get some systems work in. Let's see where it goes from here.

Sweet - a well earned victory. Laing with some late blocks was key got lots of thanks for it. Johnson the changeup outshined Vokoun. But we seemed to get a lot of non calls in our favor tonight. The league owed us.

Sure....Gordon, Backstrom, Morrisonn, Green, Clark...you want me to go on?

Just because you don't like a guy or think he makes mistakes doesnt mean he is not playing hard. Your statement that OV is the only guy trying is crap.

i don't dislike anyone on this team and i don't rag on anyone. i haven't seen a consistent effort from any of those players. i'll cut backstrom slack b/c he's been juggled a lot but i've seen all those players pack it in on any given night.
