I hope it isn't a concussion.

From the stats on http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/boxscore?gid=2004012006 it looks like both teams are playing a very cautious game. Can anyone elaborate as to how each side looks?

Yorks back from his head ache?

They don't let you back in the game if it's concussion suspicion. That's crazy.

It's something else.

I think Raffi might have a pretty good career.

I'm LOVING all these shut-outs lately!

It's a tribute to the whole team and great for Salos confidence.

Raffi Torres is a helluva hockey player. Good win for the Oilers, HUGE if you look at the standings. If they come back and make the dance, it's going to be a tremendous story. Semenov is coming along nicely.

Salo with another shutout, MacT's moves seemed to work tonight, and Ulanov is making Lowe look like a genius.

A very good night.

It's great to see the Oilers do what the Stars always used to do...

keep the game close, and then bust it open in the 3rd period, and really dominate the play.

Too bad he couldn't bury the 2 freebies Laraque gave him, that is one guy who had a very solid game and could have used the 2 assists for his confidence.

I'll hand it to him, despite having to get into the lineup and having to do something, Laraque sure didn't do anything stupid.

An important win for the Oil-closer to 8th, good for the fans-who loath the Stars, but these guys need to string together a few efforts like this. Time for the annual winning streak to start!

Torres-we should keep him.

ESPECIALLY a great story because they won't be playing Dallas.

How many playoffs exits have Oiler fans always wondered what it would be like.....if they didn't play Dallas in the first round? TOO many.

Playoffs without a "Dallas curse" might be a nice little ride.

missed the game because of a meeting but I checked the stats..typical oiler / dallas game. One team goes one-for on the pp and the other team is shut out, One team wins 55% of the face-offs and gets better goaltending.

I guess the only difference is that it was the oilers who did this and not the stars.

Hey, he did pick-up a powerplay assist, thats more scarce than platinum on this team.

Torres...wow...what a terrific shot on his second goal...he might not have meant it, but wow....
nice to see MacT's motivational tool on Laraque worked...he looked good out there tonight. Now we'll have to see if he can do it two games in a row.

And Salo...he didn't have to make soo many great saves tonight but at least he kept his game simple. Playoffs are still a possibility (plus we still have a 10 game win streak after the all star break)

if laraque stays, and chimera stays, what happens when reasoner comes back??
if pisani will be sitting for awhile, send him down he sucks, call up rita.

also, torres has an amazing shot, best shot on the team so imo they should pair up hemsky and torres since torres could probably one time all of hemsky's passes. Also they had good chemistry when smyth was centre.

Great to see this, real important win.

So York is okay? Good.

Torres is starting to heat up again - rather, he is hot again.
