Eric Lindros vs. Joe Thornton!

Maybe i missed it, but i'm suprised that there has been no mention of the scrap between the two this afternoon.

Anyway, for those who missed it, #88 landed the TKO with one big shot that dropped Joe and kept him out of the rest of the game (and possibly longer?).

Interesting to see 2 "superstars" go at it...i was a bit suprised with the Thornton TKO, but not dissapointed! :p

Never even heard about it. Hopefully Thornton is all right (he is on my fantasy team).

Not to nitpick, but if Lindros is a "superstar" these days, we've lowered the bar even further. :p

To be fair, i don't think either guy has looked like much of a "superstar" this season...

Why, NYR has a team of SUPERSTARS!

Exciting isn't it!

Must be great to have such a collection of great players with so much free time available EVERY APRIL!

Who needs playoffs when you have stars!

Lindros suprised me in this one, I thought Thornton would tune him in? Lindros landed a Bomb. I hope Joe is OK. I am not trying to say that Lindros is a bad fighter because he can handle himself. I just thought that he would fight more defensivly because of the concussions.

And you have six years and counting of no playoffs, headed for seven. Yet, you still talk smack!

But that doesn't matter...you have...STARS! :p

Hysterical!

It was a pure lucky punch on a unbalanced Thornton . But any Lindros punch can destroy anyone, we don't talk about Barnaby here

I just saw it and Lindros caught him good. It was a one-in-a-hundred punch, not because Lindros is "good" or Thornton is "bad," but just because how the punch caught Thornton.

I don't believe in "luck," but that's neither here nor there.

It was a pretty lucky shot, he got his hand free as Joe was trying to re-gain balance. The shot was a bomb though, not doubting that. I really hope Joe is okay. While I feel we can win without him (for so long, that is), he's crucial to use in the late-season as we make a run for the top of the Eastern Conference.

Anyone see that amazing goal and setup by Slegr and the boys? Whew!

I remember when a few Bruin fans were convinced Joe could handle himself against Brashear a few weeks ago. Thornton isn't a bad fighter, but is out of his league against legit guys aka Lindros, even with the concussions. I think Gill knew that when he tried to break it up.

Even after that, i say Thornton can compete with Brashear.

I don't beleive I remember Eric Lindros ever losing a fight when he was with the Flyers. He "tuned" just about everybody I remember him fighting.

Probably those 10 seconds Thornton was able to "compete" with Lindros before the TKO!
