Jokerit vs. HIFK @ Olympic Stadium
http://www.iltalehti.fi/jaakiekko/20...09664_jk.shtml
According to Iltalehti's information, outdoor regular season game between Jokerit and HIFK is official and will be played at the Olympic Stadium
I know Jokerit owner Harkimo have tried to get this game to the Olympic Stadium before but the price was outrageous...I guess the "Stadium people" realised this will be a good culture thing for the city and dropped the price.
Edit. Both teams will have press conference today at 13:00
Edit. Confirmed, the game will be on Saturday 5th of February 2011
http://jokerit.com/index.php?id=127
Ticket prices 29 eur and 39 eur and sale starts 18.5
Very nice old school posters:

I really hope that both teams would play this game with old school retro shirts with no adds on them.

As long as Jokerit doesn't have their horrific Janecky-era monstrosities
But otherwise, cool. Hopefully we'll see more of these (Ilves-Tappara @ Ratina's only natural, if Koulukatu isn't suitable)

HIFK jersey = Patron deity of jerseys
Jokerit... it's just too similar. No yellow? Jokerit colors are not blue red white, they're navy blue, yellow, red

Jokerit shirt should be copy of the 1967 shirt. Can't find a color picture from that year to compare.
I bought mine ticket months ago. Should be fun experience. I guess I'll have to smuggle some bottle there to keep me warm

Yes of course but never going to happen. The league should at least make some restrictions with the amount of the sponsors in the shirts.
Jokerit fans march to the game...starts from Kamppi:

Actually, I think the amount of money a team get's from a jersey advert is probably fairly low. Cleaner, better looking jerseys with fewer ads would create more revenue from fan merchandise, as the current dish rags are not very appealing products to buy. Furthermore, less adverts and more coherent style would make the whole game look more professional and respectable, at least in the eyes of casual fans.
