Well my guess is that the was because the OP had posted a proposal of

Parker & Hedjuk
for
Kosto & a 1st.

He erased it before anybody else could see it.

My idea:

To Mtl:
Dustin Brown
Brian Wilsie

To LA:
Chris Higgins
Michael Ryder (+2nd round conditional pick if Ryder doesn't resign)

Yes I have a hard on for Dustin Brown....but when he's leading the NHL with 130 hits its hard not to.

You know I totally agree. Brown is the complete package at a cheap price and that's exactly why LA would trade him away.

To MTL: Vincent Lecavalier, Sidney Crosby + Tampa Bay agrees to pay both salaries for MTL.
To TB: 7th round pick in every remaining draft in the Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning or NHL existence.

I'm a big Hejduk fan and would love to see him with the Habs. I don't think he would be the solution to our problems, but I think he could certainly help us. Probably cost us a fair bit to get him right now though.

There was talk a while back that Colorado were willing to include him in a trade for Theodore (before Theo went downhill). Was that just speculation/rumour/BS or was there any truth behind that?

Tampa don't need draft pick because they can't draft propely.

Huet+Ryder+Plekanek+Streit for Richards.

No thanks. As good as Richard is, that is too much, especially considering how much his salary prohibits future moves.

Tampa laughs at that offer. Three UFAs and Plekanec for Richards? That amounts to Plekanec for Richards straight up just about (though presumably Tampa would re-sign Huet and tandem him with Holmqvist).

I'm not a fan of Richards by any means, but he means more to Tampa than that. Honestly, I think if Tampa were entertaining offers for Vinny or Richards they'd be looking for a quantity of quality, multiple players like Plekanec, Higgins, Komisarek, Kostitsyn, O'Byrne even. Good players who are on cheap contracts but can improve overall depth, which they lack.

The end result would be Montreal trading our problem (lots of overall depth, no high-end talent) for Tampa's problem (talent, but no depth).

well i think a trade3 with edmonton is the most likely at this point either for stoll or torres, it has already been discussed alot, but i would like either of them, or even both in some kind of trade involving ryder+grabo+prospect or pick....

At this point, does any team even want Koivu, Ryder and Bouillon?

I posted this trade proposal on another thread....reactions were mixed

Mtl trade:

Koivu (who obviously wants out of Montreal)
Huet (a #1 goalie anywhere's else other then Montreal for a few years)..who'll resign
one of our 3rd or 4th liners (Bégin/Dandenauld/Bouillon/Fischer/Lapierre/Ferland or DÁgostini....doesn't matter)
Plus a 1st round Draft Pick

To Tampa Bay for
M. Vinny Lecavalier and a 2nd or 3rd Pick
Freeing up cap room for the future
Vinny doesn't have a NTC

Koivu is the perfect 2nd line centerman behind Richards
they get a #1 goalie (who has made the All Star gam in the past)...finally
they can choose one of the 3rd-4th liners to strenghten their PK or whatever their need is.
PLUS a 1st rounder from a team who, at this rate, won't make the playoffs

Think about it....is it so crazy????
