I think some of the problem is his positioning and the way defense is played in today's game. Today defenses clog the middle of the defensive zone like a massive crap would clog a toilet. If Prucha tries to stand in the middle of the pile of crap he's going to get covered easily. This is why he's never open these days. IDK if he should try moving back towards the blueline more, or possibily changing his positioning all together, but with the way defense is played today, that position is very hard to hit unless it's with the perfect play (such as Shanny's OT goal tonight).

What what the hell happened with the great Czech line that we had? Straka Jagr and Prucha? Why don't we re-start that? I don't think Drury or Gomez will ever gel with Jagr. Jagr loves his European players, no doubt that. We also need another Czech girl Blueshirts commercial

Renney, are you hearing me? We need the Czech line! IT ALWAYS WORKS!

Refresh my memory, didn't Prucha have knee surgery after that year? His skating looks alot stronger and crisper than it does now. Even that off balance shot doesn't look the same. Or am I making things up?

I really don't remember the skating, but he seems like he skates in more of a power skating kind of stride, so I have no problem with how he's skating, although his acceleration doesn't seem to be as quick, but his top speed is definitely there.

BTW, that off balance shot drives me nuts, he should have Shanny teach him a few things about one-timers.

prucha does have alot of speed, but his moves are old and the same.
he cant always beat an defensemen one-one with his moves. i dont remeber the last i watched prucha burn a defensemen with one of his moves.
but again his ice time has been cut. he does play with out of heart.

I like that Czech line idea. Then you could have something like

Jagr-Straka-Prucha
Avery-Gomez-Shanny
Hossa-Drury-Callahan
the penalty line

look at the goals/highlights from his freshman year...he did it all the time. i dunno what happened to him...it upsets me in a way. he still plays as hard as ever, and with more of an edge now. but the scoring isnt there now.

scoring is problem for the whole team. Until tonight straka only had two goals. Callahan is struggling too. Jagr is struggling. Its not just Prucha but for some reason people like to point him out. High expectation due to his performance the first two years. I do agree though that he needs to find a way to score. He is a goalscorer paid to score, but I would not count him out yet or say trade him. He barely gets any ice time.

Dubinsky isn't coming out of the lineup.
